Greetings and salutations, 50+ Style Bloggers!
Or turn 50 years of age today.
The Deets: Roulette dress (GoodWill $5); Miz Mooz Tillman pumps (Amazon); Vintage clutch (aunt); Stone necklace (Steinmart); Cuff bracelet (Forever 21)
Okay, you got me. It's that last one.
I asked the Absent-Minded Professor to snap some pics documenting my big 5-0. The wind was blowing hard, and we got mostly amazing shots of a piece of my hair standing straight up like up like a feather.
I also asked for some less dorky style blogger poses, but as you can see, that didn't happen. But I do have
The. Style. Blogger. Clutch.
What did I want for my 50th birthday?
An egg poacher.
I know, I'm the most glamorous 50-year old evah. Eat my dust.
The Deets: Ann Taylor wool coat (eBay); Pashima scarf (gift); Handmade vintage leather purse (Salvation Army $2)
Or maybe just my eggs.
I'm going to head on over to Not Yet Dead Style and (gasp) another style blogger no-no, share my repeat outfit with the other cool style bloggers for Visible Monday.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! Welcome to the 50+ club!!
ReplyDeleteYou look fabulous!!
Happiest of Birthdays, Lynne! You look smashing in those colors.

ReplyDeleteNot to worry - 50 is SO MUCH better than 40!
Love all the pattern action you have going on here.
Happy Birthday, I am an avid reader of your blog. I am a February birthday as well. I loved it as I grew up because what ever I didn't get for Christmas, I got for my birthday. I still have the same feeling. The purse is really cute.
ReplyDeleteHappy 50th!!! Some of the coolest bloggers I know are in that club so you're in great company.
ReplyDeleteLove the outfit and that you got an egg poacher as a pressie. xxx
Happy 50th dear Lynne!!! You are radiant, and I love this outfit complete with outerwear and accessories. 50 looks fantastic from here, my friend. xoxo
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated Birthday and welcome to our very special group of 50+ Bloggers...I will say though my group is a bit different from the one you describe...we wear amazing fashionable glasses, run circles around the younger bloggers, rock our high heels and pencil skirts, and laugh at the days to come...you should fit right in...and like us, you look much younger than your actual age!! Great birthday style!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!!! I can't believe you're 50. You look awesome and I love your blog, and... I hope your 50th year is a great one!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the club! As you may already know, style is what counts and there's no age-limit on that. There are plenty of women older than us with gobs more panache, and lots of young gals with none. BTW, your humor is so charming.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday!! You look wonderful, too. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Lynne! You look beautiful in that lovely dress with the Blogger's Clutch and the kick ass ballerina shoes!
ReplyDeleteNow poach the hell out of those eggs, love! xxx
Happy Birthday Lynne! You are making 50 shine in so many ways, in your outfits and your commentary. And with your warmth and empathy. You own this outfit, and I'm sure that you will own this decade!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Lynne!! You look far from 50 woman, still young and fresh!! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy, happy birthday! 50 is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Lynne! You look fantastic. Now the good years are starting.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you...Welcome to the club. Only I'm in the next decade up club. You'll get there. Meanwhile, you look fabulous in all those turquoises. And have fun poaching eggs.
ReplyDeleteGirlfriend, you are BEAUTIFUL!!! I thought you were way younger than me! You look awesome! I will be joining you in March. So our birthdays are close together! Ha! And you are older. Ha ha ha ha ha ha.

Happy Birthday Lynne! You are gorgeous and you are only as old as you feel. Somehow I have a feeling you are young at heart :) Your dress and teal tights are gorgeous! Heather
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Lynne! As of today, you are joining the gang of elite AWESOME bloggers... You look beautiful in your photos :-)
ReplyDeleteP.S How do you like your eggs?! Can I come round for poached egg on toast, please? XX
Hey, you and my mom have the same birthday! Happy birthday to both of yuhz! (She turned 63, though, so she's got a head start on you.) Poached eggs are the ultimate way to eat eggs, so kudos on your fine egg taste. Eggs eggs eggs.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Lynne! You are a beautiful 50, and I should only hope to look that good in another five years.
ReplyDeleteAn egg poacher sounds like a fine gift to me, since I cannot competently poach an egg freestyle.
I'm so late at saying Happy Birthday, but I hope it was!
ReplyDeleteYou know that $10K fee is just a suggested donation - you don't really have to pay it. Oh, you did already? Never mind.
Love that dress, especially paired with those shoes. And the scarf is very pretty. Fifty is the new 5-Oh Wow!
Happy Birthday! I would seriously never have guessed 50 by seeing your photo. You have gorgeous skin, you lucky thing! The dress is amazing and I love it with those tights and shoes! Thank you so much for joining Adrienne and me for 'How I Wear My: Date Night Look,' it was great to include you! XO, Jill
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday Lynne! You look gorgeous in this outfit - the dress is so beautiful! You've found the perfect turquoise colour, and the shoes are too cute! Coloured tights are of course a favorite of mine, and I wouldn't mind hanging that necklace around my own neck!
ReplyDeleteSo, will you save a seat for me in the 50+ club? I have a few months yet, but I can see it on the horizon.
Happy belated birthday!! Hope it was a great one. I love that dress, and I love poached eggs, I think that would be a great gift. I was just watching a clip of Clinton Kelly on The Chew and this is what he said about poached eggs:
ReplyDelete"the way you eat your eggs says a lot about you. if you like your eggs poached, you’re typically older, happier and have a good sense of style."
sounds okay to me :)
Chic on the Cheap
Ahh, Happy Birthday Lynne and a BIG HUG to you! I somehow missed this post on the day of your big Hawaii 50, but better late then never right?
ReplyDeleteFor my 50th my husband handed me the sweetest little white box. I flipped up the lid in front of some friends and to my shock it was a choke nob for my motorcycle! Ugh! Funny, but not what I was hoping for. ;) did you get your poacher? Wanna trade for a nob?
Better late than never? HAPPYBIrTHDAYxxxxxoooooo. You are gorgeoussmartkindfunnystylishANDa really amazing human being. Wishing you all the very best, not to mention great thrifting. Your outfit looks so good on you!!
ReplyDeleteGirl you look 30 not 50!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday gorgeous Lady
Ariane xxxx
Happy birthday Gorgeous!!!! Sorry I'm so very belated!!! Your turquoise ensemble is radiant, especially with your red tresses. 50? Hmmm. You must eat a low carb diet to keep that school girl figure. I'll bet you eat a lot of protein, hence the egg poacher?
ReplyDeleteI hope you got that and more. Keep celebrating. You deserve it. XXOO
Jeez, these days I am always late!...
ReplyDeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY, LYNN!!! Mwah, mwah. I didn't get my 50 membership card. I misread the application. I thought it said 10j's not k's...
Glad you to see you looking gorgeous at any age! Your bithday suit, dress I mean, is WOW. You are not dorky. You'll also need a groovey guillotine-style egg topper as well, can't get one without the other. Hugs.
Happy Bday dear Lynne! You give 50 a good name. What a shining example of fifty and thrifty you are. HOpe you get that egg poacher! xo. Bella Q
ReplyDeleteThere is no way you're 50!! I thought you were younger than me (I'm 45). You look fantastic. What is your secret?
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, dear Lynne!
xoxo, A
Happy Birthday... Mine was Friday! I want to add a smiley face but I'm taking the turning 40 thing harder than I expected.
