Budget Career Deal: This Snood Hits Every Trend

Wendy at Simply Sassy Style made me look up the word "snood" earlier this week. In my lexicon, a snood is a sort of hairnet used to keep long hair gathered back, originating in eighth century England. But these days it also means a tubular scarf, one of my fave fashion accessories.

If you're like me, and you've worn the same simple shirts and skirts in black, grey, and white for years, a bright snood in flattering colors can be a fun and economical way to try some of this season's hottest trends, including orange and graphic prints - and liven up those every day basics.

  1. Hi Lynne,
After you mentioned looking up the word, I did too and I guess I should in fact have added scarf ... but hey, we both learnt a little something.

I'd guess the eternity scarf is much the same thing.

I like the colours in the scarf you're sharing here and I think you should get it for yourself.

Hope your day is fabulous ... my weekend starts in 22 minutes.

  4. I remember snoods from the 80s! The ones you have featured look more scarf-like to me, pretty colours! xxx

  5. Huh, I always thought of snoods the same way as you - hairnets. In my vocab that style of scarf is a circle scarf or infinity scarf. Eh, times are changing as always.

  6. New information! I thought snoods were headwear only, so my vocabulary has been increased. Thank you!
