Paralegal Career Dressing: A Paralegal Does Elf

I felt like I let The Teen down last week when I didn't have an ugly holiday sweater to loan her for Ugly Holiday Sweater Day at school.

I honestly don't own any Christmas-themed apparel or jewelry. I told you I'm boring.

So I decided I could at least try wearing Christmas colors this week, also a challenge for me because I don't have that much color in my closet.

But I do have my trippy green Banana Republic thrifted skirt, a purchase I would have never made before I started following style bloggers.

Banana Republic skirt (thrifted); Sweater (for cheap off some junior clearance rack - it's a large); Booties (Charlotte Russe); Earrings (Steinmart); Bangle watch (Jewel Box)
At almost 50 years of age, why was I even in Charlotte Russe? I needed shoes for a Ke$sha concert. Yep, I took The Teen for her 15th birthday, and nope, I was not the oldest person there.

I like to wear rocks. No, not diamonds. Just rocks.
How far are you willing to take your work wardrobe to show your Christmas spirit?

I've been collecting Christmas pins since childhood and I wear some of the dressier ones to work. My latest treasure is a pearl Christmas tree pin. Though a thrift store find, it adds an elegant touch to my sweaters.

Susan, I bet the pin is gorgeous. I love my antique costume jewelry from my grandmothers and great-aunts.

I'd love to see that pin! :)
