Job Titles: Paralegal, Jewelry Designer and CreatorEmployers: Bell, Tennent & Frogge; Red Panda Chainmaille
(Nashville, TN)
Years of Paralegal Experience: Almost 1 year
Specialty Area: Criminal Defense
Career Highlight: The best thing about my job is my bosses, the lawyers, because they are understanding. I feel like they understand what it's like to be an employee. I do a lot of transcripts too, which can be interesting.
Paralegal Practice Tip: To avoid missing deadlines, confirm and tickle due dates from the lawyers.
Favorite Internet Resource: I use Nashville's criminal court clerk and inmate search websites almost daily. http://ccc.nashville.gov/ http://dcso.nashville.gov/inmatesearch/pages/Search.faces
How did you get started making chainmail jewelry? My best friend in high school had a boyfriend that made chainmaille and I thought it was really cool! I bought some jump rings, looked up some internet tutorials, and never looked back!
How long does it take to make a piece of your more intricate chainmail jewelry? Depends! Some simple things I can make in 15 minutes. Other pieces can take hours or even days.
Fun Fact: I hula hoop for fun and fitness. :)

Jessica is @redpandajewelry on Twitter, which is how I "met" her. I bought the beautiful "The Moon and the Sea" chainmaille pendant that she made, and wear it frequently, with lots of compliments. Not only is it an original piece and a conversation starter, it's a tangible reminder of how connected we in "Th' Paralegalhood" can be through the use of social media, including Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter.

See Jessica's currently available creations at http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=22621. I am longing for the lariat necklace pictured above.
