Happy [belated] National Grammar Day! (It was yesterday. I feel terrible for forgetting, or truthfully, just not knowing.) It’s not too late to give a fellow grammar geek a new package of red felt tip pens. Maybe we’ll make it unofficial National Grammar Week, and encourage everyone to carefully review their use of apostrophes at the fabulously funny blog, Apostrophe Catastrophes.
Becky’s blogger profile states, “Bad punctuation horrifies me.” (It makes me foam at the mouth.) Yesterday’s entry even notes misuse of “it’s” in an online catalog. (Maybe we share grammar telepathy? Or worse, not enough people know the difference between “it’s” and “its”, including catalog copywriters?) Today’s entry, "Punctuation Rehab? No, No, No", is a photograph of the ubiquitous Paris Hilton wearing a T-shirt with her own signature burble, “THATS HOT”. That’s right – no apostrophe. I agree with Becky. That’s so “not hot”.

Thanks for the shout out! I am so flattered!
No, *I'm* flattered that one of my Internet grammar gurus "autographed" my blog! (WAY better than Paris' autograph! :)
