Paralegal Runs for Seat on City Commission

In a special election to be held February 10, 2009, Florida real estate paralegal Julie Carson is running for a seat (which she has been holding by appointment since November 2008) on the Wilton Manors City Commission. Today she was endorsed by the Sun Sentinel’s Editorial Board over two former mayors who are also running for the seat.

In its endorsement, The Editorial Board states:

Carson is no stranger to civic service. She is the vice president of the board of directors at her reform synagogue in Wilton Manors and has an impressive history of volunteerism.It may not be the typical resume, but Wilton Manors is not a typical city, and it could benefit from Carson's energy and varied background.
