Legal Assistant Involved in Two Separate Train Mishaps on Morning Commute

New Jersey legal assistant Sue Smith has good reason to dread her morning commute. She has been involved in two PATCO train mishaps, one this morning and one on December 18, 2006 -- with both occurring about the same time in the morning. Today the train was disabled on the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, but all of the passengers were evacuated safely to a "rescue" train, after a 45-minute wait. However, Ms. Smith says she was 71 minutes late for work.

In the 2006 incident, smoke and sparks from underneath the first car caused an emergency evacuation onto a catwalk, where the passengers could see the river below. Ms. Smith described the 2006 incident as "much scarier". She states that she is going to ride a different train in the future.
