I have worked for employment lawyers since 1994, and if there is one golden rule I have learned about remaining gainfully employed, it is: Your work computer is not really yours.
Tennessee legal assistant Frank Crawford appears to have forgotten the golden rule, and spent some of his less productive work hours chatting with an undercover agent who was trying to catch Internet sexual predators. Crawford, an employee of TennCare, was charged on November 4, 2008 with multiple sexual offenses, some of which he admitted occurred while visiting chat rooms on a state-owned computer.
